Chimamanda Adichie Biography Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was born on Septem, in Enugu, Nigeria. She grew up in the university town of Nsukka, in southeastern Nigeria. Where her father, James Nwoye Adichie, was a professor of statistics and later became a deputy vice-chancellor at the University of Nigeria. Her mother, Grace Ifeoma Adichie, was the university’s first female registrar.
